A well-seasoned performer and no stranger to the stage, with theatre credits behind his name such as The Rocky Horror Show, Footloose, Kinky Boots, A Chorus Line, Hairspray, The Madame Zingara Celebration Tour, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Divas! …to name a few.

 

Emile was born and raised in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Throughout his childhood, Emile had taken part in local singing competitions, but it was not until 2008 when he competed in M-Net’s reality TV show High School Musical: Spotlight South Africa, making it into the Top 20 that his career took flight.

Emile was one of the lead male vocalists for the Port Elizabeth-based corporate entertainment company:  Centrestage, performing as part of their boyband 'Escape' for various clients all around South Africa before he attended the prestigious

The Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town.

 

There he specialised in Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre. Graduating in 2013 with an ATCL in Musical Theatre from the Trinity College of London.

After his musical theatre career came to a halt during the worldwide pandemic he ventured into cruise ship entertainment working for TUI Cruises & Holland America Line and even created his own drag queen alter-ego the live singing sensation Milly Pop!
